Swanson Group established Superior Helicopter in the early 90's at the same time they made their first timberland acquisition. Initially formed as an aerial logging operation to be used on company lands the helicopter has grown and expanded its business and marketing plan to incorporate any task that requires lifting heavy loads at high altitudes.
Today the helicopter division is transitioning to Swanson Group Aviation to better reflect the company affiliation and to also recognize the diversity of work with which the group operates.
