Kiln Dry Studs
Swanson Group manufactures kiln dry studs in White Fir, Hem Fir, and Doug Fir; and although these species are closely related they do contain different characteristics that make each of them attractive to various markets and buyers.
The studs are produced in 2x4 and 2x6 and we can precision end trim them from 4’ to 10’ in length. All studs are anti-stain treated and carry the WWPA grade stamp and the SFI certification stamp. We also carry the HT stamp for heat treated for those applications that require it.
Our stud mill also produces a small amount of kiln dried cedar in 2x4 and 4x4 used mostly for post and rail fence applications and some small squares that are used by pencil manufacturers.
