Swanson Group Mfg. LLC, Glendale Plywood was the first plywood mill purchased by Swanson in the early 90’s. The mill has gone through a number of changes and modifications since then but still retains their reputation for making the best 23/32” and 1 1/8” Sturd-I-Floor on the West Coast. The mill utilizes a lay up line and three presses to generate a high degree of efficiency in manufacturing. The mill has worked hard since 2000 to create a more diverse product line and today offers a complete range of Douglas Fir sanded, Douglas Fir siding, BBOES, and Specialty Industrial panels to complement the Sturd-I-Floor products.
Swanson Group Mfg LLC, Springfield Plywood and Veneer was purchased in the summer of 2007 and adds a whole new dimension of panel products available from Swanson Group. Similar to our Glendale operations, Springfield produces Douglas Fir sanded, Douglas Fir siding, and Specialty Industrial plywood. In addition, Springfield also manufactures a full line of overlay plywood, MDO concrete form, HDO concrete form, as well as Marine plywood. The mill also has the ability to offer panel lengths of 4x8', 4x9', and 4x10'. In addition to softwood plywood the Springfield mill produces a limited number of high grade hardwood faced panels for use in siding and industrial applications. This highly diversified mix compliments our Glendale plywood line, and allows Swanson to produce and deliver a broad range of products customers want and need from a single supplier.

Veneer- Annual Capacity 400 MM3/8
Swanson Group Mfg. LLC, Glendale Veneer peels veneer at both of its locations, allowing for greater control of product mix and quality. Species peeled include Douglas Fir, White Woods, Pine and Spruce. Peel thickness range from 0.100 to 0.196 inches. Veneer is available for sale in green and dry form, including LVL grades G1-G3.
